instead of paying attention

there are a lot of things i tend to do instead of listening in class. i especially like to doodle about exactly what it is that is most distracting right then, which usually involves food. it also tends to be the people around me. i fucking love people watching and silently judging them, or taking notes about them. anyway, here's an example from the other day:

way more important than reconstructing protolanguages, right?

stumped.

i've been trying to write a new post for a while now and either a) i can't get the layout to look right or b) i get blogger's block and either way i get angry and save what i've got and give up. it's become very frustrating, and it makes me want to start a new type of blog. so far i've come up with:

- a photo blog of homeless people around austin

• would probably cost me a lot of cigarettes and/or dollars
• how do i even know if they're actually homeless?
• may capture some creative money-getting slogans

- a photo blog of people who i find interesting around austin

• probably has been done 203948320 times already
• i need to put my new camera to use
• i need to get over my fear of asking to photograph strangers

i can't really write a humor blog, because i'm not humorous, and i don't just want to go on blogging about my day, because i can't see that being very interesting.

any ideas? what do you want?

so, it's been two days now, and i've narrowed down my list of top shop needs. so many tabs were open, and many tabs have since been closed. here's what i've narrowed it down to:

i enjoy the british differences in clothing names. like trousers for jeans and jumpers for sweaters and other things that i would never call a jumper. someone find me a high paying job.

well...

i don't know about you, but i often find myself hours into scoring shopping websites/blogs finding treasures that i LOVE but never seem to buy. i'll have like 20 some odd tabs open and eventually they all get closed and my jewels are lost. therefore i'm going to start posting them here and maybe one day when i bathe in cash or marry rich, i will know what all i must have. and maybe i'll look back on this and laugh at myself. either way, here it goes.
